So I picked my favourite roles of his and set about designing a composition that would be interesting but also work together as one whole piece of artwork rather than a few images stuck together.
After sketching a few thumbnail drawings I settled on one and got to work on it straight away. I started with the main image of him looking straight towards the viewer then worked clockwise from their. I didn't want to rush this, so I took my time with each character making sure I caught their personality in my drawing as much as I could. Bane was the most fun to draw and probably the hardest too, due to the intricate way his mask is put together. I love the Dark Knight trilogy so I wanted to make sure this came out right.
All through this process I was posting my progress on various websites such as Facebook and I was getting a huge response with great feedback. This started me thinking that perhaps I should do something different with it when I've finished it rather than just sell it.
Shortly after this, I had the idea that I would put it up for auction and the person with the highest bid could have the original piece of artwork. I posted this on one of the many Tom Hardy fan sites that are out there and one person suggested that I should auction it off for the homeless charity FLACK which Tom Hardy is a Patron of. I thought this was a great idea and I would also be helping out a great cause. So I contacted Flack, sent them the artwork and they've put it up for auction on E-Bay.
So help spread the word and follow the link below to place a bid and help raise loads of cash for a great charity!
